Where do I fit in all of this?!
Hey there Powerful One!
I have a heaviness that I need to let you in on, for perhaps you too may be feeling some of it as well. There is a collective influx of emotions that is sweeping our nation. We are experiencing a corporate shift in energy that makes it hard for anyone to escape regardless of our level of interaction and engagement.
My inbox is telling of this shift as businesses, organizations, and individuals have all had to recognize it and adjust fire. Not too long ago my inbox reflected the effects of the pandemic on us mentally, emotionally, and financially. The rhetoric matches the tone of the need according to the happenings in our society. Now, there has not been a single email that I have received that did not mention George Floyd, brutality, and injustice followed by some pledge or outline of action. Everyone is trying to find their part in all of it and how we can still run our businesses, nurture our relationships, and create order in a space where there seems to be everything but order.
Well, that’s exactly where we are as well in our business and what we choose to do in solidarity with what we need as a nation. I have taken this into meditation to simply listen. The answers are there. We are the solution to every problem we face. Yes, we, the collective. Every voice, every mind. That however, is not where it starts, in my opinion. It does not start with the collective. It does not start with organizing together. It starts with each of us individually, doing the work on ourselves. Tending to our mindset is extremely important. Nothing is more disempowering to a collective agenda than the individual pieces being ill-equipped. What I mean by this, is that we each have a unique presence that we show up in. That presence is made up of our thoughts, beliefs, feelings and divine essence. That presence is also full of past information that is coded into our DNA. We each have an EPIC Factor that allows us to show up in our full power and potential. It is our responsibility to examine and explore who we truly are and how we show up.
Racism, in my opinion, is created by self-hatred and fueled by lies. It is an unstable energy. It thrives on the proving that a group of people are better, more human, more right. Since that cannot be proven because the desired conclusion does not exist. Addressing racism by any means requires an opposite energy. A grounded , truth-based, compassionate energy. The opposite of self-hatred is self-love. How can we love ourselves more so that it is reflected in others around us? The opposite of lies are truths. What are the truths that are inherent to us, individually? How can we become more grounded so that we show up in clarity and not with unstable energy? How can we demonstrate compassion with a grounded and stern presence that demands change? How can we show up in love? That, my friend, requires an individual process. We cannot afford, especially in these times, to show up with our lights dim and lacking in power when we are extraordinary and extremely powerful, each one of us. We are incapable of loving others when we cannot love ourselves and what we feel about ourselves is reflected in how we hold space for others and the intention for which we engage in a collective agenda. The process of discovering your EPIC Factor addresses that and so much more so that you will be aligned with your purpose and fully charged with your power. I am willing and ready to BE THE CHANGE, so that when I show up, I do so powerfully to be most effective and allow the world around me to be a reflection of the CHANGE I HAVE WORKED FOR and I HAVE DECIDED TO BE. What are you working for? What have you decided?
